I, along with several needle-moving members of our Amperage Healthcare Marketing team, had the opportunity to attend the 2016 IHA Annual Meeting in Des Moines a couple of weeks ago. This three-day conference welcomed healthcare professionals from across the state to learn and gain expertise from a variety of experts in the industry.
We participated in stimulating learning sessions and enjoyed networking opportunities with Iowa’s healthcare leaders, finding new ways to expand our skills as a leading healthcare marketing agency.
There were many things learned all around, but some of our key takeaways from the event include:
- Healthcare consumerism is impacted by a variety of factors, such as transparency, and it’s the marketer’s role to leverage these motivational factors to increase volumes and patient satisfaction.
- Marketers create opportunities to achieve health equity and quality care by showing how their organizations are adapting to the changes introduced by the Affordable Care Act.
- Technology continues to have a huge impact on the healthcare system. As marketers, we should not only embrace this change, but use it to further optimize the patient experience.
- Expectations and values of every healthcare organization are unique. It’s vital for marketers to identify what an organization views as important to measure in order to advance a patient’s overall healthcare experience.
As a leader in healthcare marketing, we can help you ease these aches and pains and more. We’d love to chat with you about what’s hurting your institution’s marketing.
